How to: Change priority of audio compression drivers.
Solution:
In the 'Control Panel' window, double-click the 'Multimedia' icon and click the 'Advanced' tab. Double-click 'Audio Compression Codecs' and double-click the desired compression driver. Change the priority and click 'OK' twice.
1) Click the 'Start' button to display the 'Start' menu.
2) Select 'Settings' and select 'Control Panel'. (The 'Control Panel' window appears.)
3) Double-click the 'Multimedia' icon. (The 'Multimedia Properties' dialog box appears.)

4) Click the 'Advanced' tab. (The 'Advanced' tabbed page appears.)
5) Double-click 'Audio Compression Codecs'. (The branch expands, showing all audio compression CODECs.)
6) Select the audio CODEC driver for which to change the priority.
7) Click 'Properties'. (The '<codec> Properties' dialog box appears, where <codec> is the name of the selected CODEC.)

8) (Optional) Select the 'Use this audio codec' radio button.
9) Select the new priority from the 'Change priority from <#> to' drop-down list box (where <#> is the current priority number).

10) Click 'OK' to close the driver 'Properties' dialog box.
11) Click 'OK' to close the 'Multimedia Properties' dialog box.
12) Select the 'File' menu and select 'Close' to close the 'Control Panel' window.
